My mother in law, Audhild, told us that she found tracks of the lynx just over the road by the cabin. I walked up to the tracks to check them out and found them just 50 meters from the cabin. This tracks were large paw prints in the snow which I believe belongs, according to the size, to a large male lynx. We had some snow and wind during the last days so they were quite fresh and probably not older than 2 days.

I found new tracks of the lynx not so far from the cabin and followed them for a while. Suddenly the tracks splits in two and I realized I followed a mother with her kitten. A bit later I even found a new track of a lynx which crossed the other two tracks. What a day. Three different lynxes have been in the area.

I found new very fresh lynx tracks. The paw print in the snow was quite big so I believe they belong to a male lynx. Probably the same male lynx some visited my camera trap last year in December.

I checked my camera trap, but no signs of the lynx.

With all the tracks I lately found I know that there is a lot of lynx activity in this area.
